Child Therapist Cambridge
About Me
An experienced Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist
I have a wide range of therapeutic experience: as a therapist now in private practice and previously as Founder and Clinical Director of Blue Smile (a charity providing therapy in Cambridgeshire schools) and as the School Counsellor in a leading independent school. In these roles, I have supported children aged 3 to 19 with a range of issues, including anxiety, disordered eating, exam stress, low mood, self-harm, bereavement, and many more.
To help children and young people express and resolve their difficulties, I not only use ‘talking therapy’, but also an arts-based method. I draw on a wide range of theories and techniques to develop an approach that is best tailored to meet the needs of each child.
My practice is informed by a Masters training in Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE) and is supported by regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate.
