An experienced Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist
I have a range of therapeutic experience developed as a therapist in private practice, as Founder and Clinical Director of Blue Smile (a charity providing therapy in Cambridgeshire schools), and as the School Counsellor in a leading independent school. In these roles I have supported children aged 3 to 19 with a range of issues, including exam stress, disordered eating, low mood, self-harm, bereavement, and many more.
To help children and young people express and resolve their difficulties, I not only use ‘talking therapy’, but also an arts-based method. I draw on a wide range of theories and techniques to develop an approach that is best tailored to meet the needs of each child.
This practice is informed by my Masters training in Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE) and is supported by regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) - important accreditation in what remains an unregulated profession.
